The representation of wrong entertainment content in popular media, including comix, can have negative consequences for audiences, particularly children and young adults. Research has shown that exposure to violent, explicit, or disturbing content can lead to desensitization, anxiety, and depression (Bushman & Huesmann, 2006). Furthermore, the normalization of such content can perpetuate negative attitudes and behaviors, such as sexism, racism, and homophobia (Gackenbach, 2008).
